Hips - Here's a relative comparison of OFA, SV and FCI hip certifications.

In the Czech rating system each hip socket is given it's own number rating, for instance a dog with a 1/1 rating would be equivalent to a b/b rating, while a dog with a 1/0 would be equivalent to a b/a rating.

Minimum ages for hip ratings - OFA preliminaries at 6months, official at 24 months. CZ, FCI, SV official at 12months.

 

Some titles and certifications you may see in a pedigree and their meanings (listed alphabetically):

AD – 20 kilometer endurance test beside a bicycle

AKC - American Kennel Club

BH – temperament and obedience test

CGC – temperament test

CKSP – Czech registry (precedes a registration number)

DKK - Degeneracia Kostneho Klbu - Czech hip rating

Dobra (dobry) – "good" may be seen as “d”  – conformation rating

FH – advanced tracking title (FH1/FH2/FH3 each title gets incrementally more difficult to achieve and the FH3 is no longer given)

HGH – German style herding (dog herds upwards of 300 sheep)

H.O.T. - Handler Owner Trained

IPO – international title for tracking, obedience and protection (IPO1/IPO2/IPO3 each title get incrementally more difficult to achieve)

Krajsky vitez – regional champion

OB - obedience title (OB1/OB2/OB3 corresponds to SchH obedience routine)

OFA - Orthopedic Foundation for Animals - USA hip rating

RH - international search and rescue title (RH1/RH2)

RTG - Rvtngen - Slovak hip rating

SchH – tracking, obedience and protection title (SchH1/SchH2/SchH3 each title gets incrementally more difficult to achieve)

SPO – protection title

SP-PS – Border Patrol certification

SVV – Slovak tracking, obedience and protection title this is a more difficult title than SchH (SVV1/SVV2/SVV3 each title gets harder to achieve)

TD – basic AKC tracking title

TDX – advanced AKC tracking title

TR - tracking title (TR1/TR2/TR3 corresponds to SchH track difficulty)

UM – Czech Nationals participant

SKSP – Slovak registry (precedes a registration number)

Velmi dobra (velmi dobry) – "very good" may be seen as “vd” – conformation rating

Vitez CR – Champion of Czech Nationals

Vitez tridy – breed survey championship

VPG – tracking, obedience and protection title (VPG1/VPG2/VPG3 each title gets incrementally more difficult to achieve)

VST – AKC urban tracking title

Vyborna (vyborny) – "excellent" may be seen as “v” – conformation rating

WH – watch dog title

ZLP – avalanche and wilderness rescue (ZLP1/ZLP2/ZLP3)

ZM – basic obedience and protection

ZPO – protection title

ZPS – tracking title

ZVP – water and wilderness rescue (ZVP1/ZVP2/ZVP3)

ZVV - Czech tracking, obedience and protection title this is a more difficult title than SchH (ZVV1/ZVV2/ZVV3 each title gets harder to achieve)

ZZP – search and rescue (ZZP1/ZZP2/ZZP3)

ZZZ – basic search and rescue
