Litter whelped on September 29, 2008!!! We have 5 puppies, 2 males and 3 females. One of the males is sable, the rest of the pups are black and tan. All pups and Ema are doing excellent, health and happy. We start all our puppies with the bio sensor program and will continue with age appropriate imprinting as they develop. Continue to check back as we update with more information and pictures. Passo is a retired Police K9 having served the Downers Grove, Illinois police department for 6 yrs as a dual purpose PSD. Downers Grove is 15 miles out of Chicago, Il. Passo certified through the North American Police Working Dog Association (NAPWDA) as a patrol, narcotics detection, and tracking dog. His certifications for these duties include agility, obedience, handler protection/suspect apprehension, evidence indication, building searches, and four different narcotics odors. Passo is a street proven police K9 that was also used as a DARE program demonstration dog, showing a true German Shepherd temperament. Four out of ten pups from Passo's last litter went to police officers that had worked with Passo, an additional pup went to a police K9 handler, and another was retained by Passo's owner for SchH sport and narcotics detection, showing that Passo produces what K9 handlers are looking for. He is proving himself to be a producer of working quality pups. Ema is an awesome female that has working drive to spare and is as athletic and agile as they come. Excellent ball drive, and never ending energy. She is a bitch that is highly confident, intelligent, and handler motivated, an ideal combination. Ema is excellent with children and other animals and has no environmental problems at all. She has been started in PSA and has no problems with anything that is thrown at her, she hit the suit for the first time like she'd been doing it her entire life. She has extreme ball drive and would have been ideally suited as a detection dog. She is a confident and well rounded dog that will add much to our breeding program. We are expecting this litter to produce high drive dogs with excellent potential for law enforcement, personal protection, sport, and SAR work. This litter should produce puppies suitable for both novice and experienced handlers.
